Dragons’ Den: Series 13-16

I mixed four years’ worth of Dragons’ Den series between 2015 and 2018 while the post-production was being done at Dock 10 at Media City UK in Salford. I handled the mix from start to finish, as well as ISDN VO sessions with the host Evan Davis.

Particular emphasis was put on building the tension during “pitches” with the use of layered music. The editors would often deliver their cuts to me with the music separated out to multiple stems, meaning I was free to construct a submix to my taste.

Series 16 was nominated for a BAFTA “Best Reality and Constructed Factual” award.

I worked under Darrell Olsen (now of Studio Lambert) until the show changed editing facility and senior staff.
